DENNIS, MA (January 24, 2024) – The not-for-profit Cape Cod Center for the Arts
(CCCA), owner and operator of the historic Cape Playhouse in Dennis Village, is pleased to
announce the Board’s election of officers for the 2024 term and the addition of a new trustee.
Linda DeRuvo-Keegan, a resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, and East Dennis, was
elected the organization’s new President and succeeds William Templeton, who led the Board
from 2021 through 2023. DeRuvo-Keegan has held leadership positions in several non-profit
organizations in Washington, D.C., served as national spokesperson for the long-term-care
profession, and founded a firm specializing in strategic communications and issue advocacy
campaigns. Since joining the CCCA Board in 2018, she has served as its Vice President and
chaired several committees, including nominating, governance, business development, and
master planning.
“I am honored to serve as President of the CCCA, following Bill Templeton’s strong
leadership, which brought us through the COVID pandemic,” said DeRuvo-Keegan. “In this
new role, I am mindful of the work that lies ahead as we take up the challenges of renovating our
theater complex, expanding our performance season, enhancing our educational programs, and
becoming the cultural center of Cape Cod that Playhouse founder Raymond Moore envisioned
nearly 100 years ago.”
Joining DeRuvo-Keegan as Board officers for 2024 are Vice President Robert Burns of
Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and East Dennis; Vice President and Secretary John Yunits of
Dennis; and Vice President and Treasurer Dennis Corcoran of Newton and East Dennis.
The Board also is pleased to announce the unanimous election of Laura Toy to a three-
year term as trustee. A resident of Brewster, Toy spent 28-years at Cornell University, where
she played a leadership role in the institution’s Development Department. Before her recent
retirement, she served as senior principal gifts officer with primary responsibility for the
University’s $4 billion Far Above campaign, which was the largest in the University’s history
and the second largest in the history of higher education.
Continuing to serve as CCCA trustees are Immediate Past President Templeton of
Providence, Rhode Island, and East Dennis; Kathy Dunford of Boston and East Dennis; William
Harpin of Vero Beach, Florida, and East Dennis; Paul Lambert of South Hadley; and Robert
Spadaccia of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Falmouth.
ABOUT THE CCCA AND THE CAPE PLAYHOUSE
The Cape Cod Center for the Arts, Inc., a non-profit organization, was established in 2006 and is
the owner and operator of the historic Cape Playhouse in Dennis Village. The CCCA also owns the Cape Cinema.
The Cape Playhouse was founded in 1927 by Raymond Moore, whose vision was to create a
professional summer theatre that would showcase stars of stage and screen. The realization of
Moore’s dream has since been recognized by the New York Times as the “place where Broadway
goes to summer.” Today, 97 years after its founding, the theatre continues to feature world-class
talent in shows produced uniquely for The Cape Playhouse. In addition to professional live-
theatre experiences, the not-for-profit offers theatrical education for children and teens. The
Playhouse is situated on an expansive 22-acre campus along with the Cape Cinema and the Cape
Cod Museum of Art.
