Play your part! The Cape Playhouse thrives because of the support of the community and we are thrilled to have some many members of the community involved.
-Ushers arrive one hour before the performance and stay through the end of the show. They are responsible for seating patrons, scanning tickets, stuffing programs. The ushers report to the House Manager
Funday Friday, Children’s Theatre Ushers
–Children’s Theatre ushers are utilized on Friday mornings in July and August. They are responsible for seating patrons and scanning tickets. The ushers report to the House Manager
-Actor Liaisons assist our Company Management team with transporting actors, organizing food for our technical rehearsals. Actor Liaisons report to the Company Manager.
-Parking director arrive one hour before each performance and are responsible for directing traffic into orderly parking arrangements. Parking Directors report to the Patron Services Manager.
-Our concessions staff arrives one hour before each performance and is responsible for serving food and drink before each performance and during intermissions. Concession Volunteers report to the Patrons Services Manager.
Gala and Special Events
-Our special events committee helps facility and plan our donor events and annual Gala.
-Our costume department is always in need of sewing and stitching support.
Facilities and Grounds Maintenance
-A 93 year-old campus is always in need of painting, repairs, electrical and plumping work.
-The Cape Cod Center for the Arts is over 23 acres and at one point had over 5000 petunias planted! If you love to garden, The Playhouse can use your support! Garden Club volunteers coordinate with the Buildings and Grounds Manager.
